Tips for shopping online

There's always a first to everything. Your first car. Your first handphone. Your first kiss.

And it was my first time shopping online, for clothes. Some guys may say, "Girls... always shopping non stop...". And you know what? You're right! Shopping is like how you guys can't seem to stop playing football or watching football.

Recently, a friend of mine introduce to my friends and i an online store. And once she did that, there was no turning back. Everyone of us were addicted! Even though we've seen literally every single web page, we still seem to be staring at the same clothes. All of us teamed up to get at least 20 clothes so that we can get RM20 rebate for everything we were buying. Trust me, the clothes were already very cheap or rather, reasonable.

So, after weeks of waiting for the clothes to arrive, it was down to the moment of truth, the clothes were delivered.

Did i mention there's a first to everything? I was kinda disappointed. I guess my mom was right once again. She told me not to spend on something you can't feel or touch. But i did anyway. RM79 for 3 outfits that were not really well-made and attractive.

RM 23 (after RM20 rebate)

RM 33 (after RM20 rebate)

What's a girl gonna do? Tweak it up a little bit (and also blog about it to advise all online shoppers out there)! You just need a creative mind for this. If the ribbon on the dress doesn't seem right, cut it off to make it as a belt. Or if the buttons seem out of place, put on more buttons on it to make it look like a design!

It might just work but whatever you do, do NOT throw it away or ignore it. There's always a way to fix things (and this does not only apply on clothes). Trust me, coming from a girl who get hand-me-downs from mom, aunties, and sister, not all the clothes are flattering, so, all i did was mix and match my clothes.

Ok, when i got my online-bought outfits, i knew i have to blog about it.
Here's your 101 on online shopping...

1. Know your source.
Do you know the person responsible for that site? Or at least know is it a "trustable" online shop? You can always know if it is if your friend recommended it.

2. Don't buy anything common.
Cuz you can always get it from a shopping mall! And you know what? You can even bargain the price. If you purchase it online, what you see, is what you pay.

3. Don't buy chiffon or silk material
2 of the most hardest material to work on. It's not worth the risk! (Psst: Chiffon is a see-through material. Unless you want it to be a lingerie, not a good idea.)

4. Make sure you can contact the source
Whether by e-mail or telephone, make sure you can keep in contact with the online shop owner just in case if there's a delay delivery, you'll know and not assume they cheated your money.

5. Be aware of the length
This applies to dresses. In the site, the picture of the dress may be knee length, but don't be surprise to see it longer or shorter real-life. Remember, online stores are just like any other stores that wanna make money. They will make their clothes look as flattering and pretty as it can be.

6. Keep track of your order
Know when the clothes will be delivered. If it's not delivered on time and i mean 2-3 weeks late, then i think we know what happen.

7. Keep an open mind
Don't be afraid. If we don't try, we never know. If that online store turns out to be a cheating sucker, well, at least now you know! But do keep in mind that, it may at the very least be an amazing outfit! So, it's a 50-50 chance here.

8. Don't over spend
Especially when you don't know that online store well. Give yourself a tryout. Buy 2 or 3 outfits and see whether it delivers and whether the quality is acceptable. Don't go overboard by spending RM100 above and regret later (although all the clothes look very attractive).

9. Imagine
Like what my mom said, you can't feel or touch the clothes. But the very best you can do is imagine how the outfit would look like on you! If it's an halter neck dress, imagine yourself in it.

I guess that's all i can squeeze out my brain right now. Last but not least, Happy Shopping!

Cheers!

Shop till I drop!

I'm not kidding when i say i shopped till i drop. I did! I woke up at 8.30am, ate breakfast and went out. When going out with my parents, they have the tendency to go to a place very early so that they can get a nice parking lot! And so we did, right in front of the elevator. My mom was looking for a pair of shoe and i was looking for accessories for my dress. Meanwhile, my dad was looking for a coat. A tux or a suit. Whatever you call it, it's for my aunt's upcoming wedding. I see no reason why my dad need to wear a suit! But my mom insist that my dad should! So who am i to voice out? Anyway, we walk around 1 Utama till my legs now hurt.
Fortunately, the shopping trip is not over. We might continue it tomorrow! (L.O.L)
I'll jot down my day trip here tomorrow. Till then, i need a foot massage!

Karaoke? Window-shopping?

I'm no longer a highschool student. I am now a seventeen year old trying to get a part-time job and at the same time waiting for results. Yesterday was a day out with my friends. It was meant to be a class gathering/outing/get-together. They decided to go karaoke to spend the remaining class-fund and guess what, we still had to pay another RM18! Of course i did not agree. Being broke and everything, do u seriously think i had RM18 in my wallet? Even if i did, i would spend that money on something i was yerning for instead! "They" were saying RM18 is very little and this and that. I understand that their daily allowence is about RM 50 or more but i am not like them! I consider myself lucky and fortunate even though my allowence is only RM3 daily. But "they" don't seem to look that way. Nevermind that already. All i can say is, i did not go for the karaoke and so did my best buds(except for chung). Lucky for them, my day did not turn any sour or boring. I had fun even though there wasn't any music or singing. We had fun just being crazy and silly! That's what i like about being with them, i don't need to pretend to be anyone else but myself.
So, that proves that i don't need high-paid allowence, rich friends, and everyhing else to have fun! All i need is some crazy people around me and everything will be as fun as a Hollywood A-List party. We(me, mun, yee) snap a lot of pictures and when window-shopping. I was the only one who did not buy anything. Both yee and mun bought something for themselves but me being broke, did not buy anything. I did saw what i wanted but it was way out of my budget! I'll need to bring my mom instead. As much as i love going out with my parents, i also enjoy having some freedom with my friends. As long as i don't betray that freedom, i'll do alright. It'll be one long holiday but for what i have experienced, time passes like nobody's business. So wish me luck and to all bloggers out there too!

Shopping is a paradise

Though exam is still not over, my parents took me out, shopping! I bought New Year clothes and my mom too bought some really cute tops(that i surely be borrowing). We shop at a new shopping complex in Klang. They said it has the biggest Jusco in Malaysia. To me, Jusco was big but the whole complex is not to say that big. Preferable 1 Utama. It was a nice day except the people i past by was so rude! One lady that was walking beside me shouted at my ear because she was calling her daughter from the other side. She was about 2 inches away from my ears! I don't even want to mention how many people banged on me. Either i'm to tiny to be notice or they are just blind! I was furious! But of course i did not let that spoil my day.
Today, my dad's birthday. Both my parents took leave to celebrate. We went to Mid Valley. I didn't had much fun because I had this stupid migraine and also PMS. But i tried to act as if i'm enjoying myself. Which i did. Just not in the joyful way. My dad too didn't seem to be enjoying himself. Me and my mom was looking at clothes and shoes and bags and my dad just tag along. I felt bad. I told myself i'm not going to look at anymore clothes but bad enough, I pass by Miss Selfridge and i just got to go in! It was suppose to be my dad's special day and should be doing what he wanted to do. I feel guilty! After a long day, we finally reach home with empty hands. Sad!
